“Univers Sonor” is a cultural project that promotes the exchange and research of traditional Catalan and Romanian music. Organized by the ISVOR Cultural Association from Bucharest, Romania, and the Idea Cultural Association, with activities at the Can Clos Cultural Center, home of the Idea Cultural Association in La Cellera de Ter, and in Malaia, it includes workshops, recitals, and a summer music school. The project fosters collaboration between cultures and enriches the musical heritage of the participating communities.

August 8-15: Research on Traditional Catalan Music
During this week at the Can Clos Cultural Center in La Cellera de Ter, home of the Cultural Association Idea, participants will explore the richness of traditional Catalan music. Activities will include both online and in-person interactions with organizations, institutions, bands, and local artists from the province of Girona.
August 16-20: Presentation of Traditional Romanian Music
This period, also at the Can Clos Cultural Center, will focus on traditional Romanian music with various scheduled activities:
- Mini-recitals with traditional Romanian instruments such as the cobză, flutes, and percussion instruments.
- Video screenings of Imago Mundi productions based on traditional Romanian music.
August 23 – September 6: Summer Music School in Malaia, Vâlcea (Romania)
With the support of the Malaia Town Hall, interactive workshops will be held for the children of Malaia, using typical instruments from both cultures (Catalan and Oltenian flutes, tarota, guitar, cobză, percussion), modular synthesizers, field recording sessions, auditions, and recitals.
August 31: Live Instrumental Recitals
During the Malaia Town Festival, Duo Kitharsis (classical guitar) and Imago Mundi Trio (a smaller formation of the Imago Mundi ensemble, composed of its founding members) will perform live.
“Univers Sonor” not only brings together two cultures through music but also offers a unique platform for the research and presentation of musical instruments and traditions from Catalonia and Romania.
