The 8th edition of Sona Amer has been a resounding success, highlighted by the massive attendance that filled the El Casal Theater over the past months. This year’s program has been acclaimed for its quality and variety, further solidified by the recognition of the European EFFE Label. Preparations are already enthusiastically underway for the 2025 edition.
With names like Maria del Mar Bonet with Borja Penalba, Roger Mas with Cobla Sant Jordi, BGKO – Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra, El Pony Menut, Namina Sextet, and Cascai Teatre with the Girona Jazz Project, this year’s lineup was an amalgam of talent and musical diversity.
The Concert Series, which ran from January 14 to April 14, received the prestigious ‘EFFE Label 2024-2025’. This recognition highlights the quality of Sona Amer and its commitment to the arts, community participation, and international openness. The awarding of this distinction resulted from an evaluation by international festival experts, thereby consolidating the festival’s reputation and impact on the cultural scene.
