Sona Amer Returns with an Eclectic and Ambitious Lineup
Sona Amer is back with an eclectic and ambitious program featuring performances by Maria del Mar Bonet, Roger Mas and the Cobla Sant Jordi, Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra, El Pony Menut, Namina Sextet, and Cascai Teatre with Girona Jazz Project.
Idea Associació Cultural and the Town Hall of Amer, in collaboration with Hipra, the Diputació de Girona, and the Generalitat de Catalunya, have organized a total of six concerts from January to March, once again filling this Selvatana village with great music.
Sona Amer offers a diverse lineup of styles, all unified by top-tier musical quality, as its organizers are known for. This remarkable initiative brings large-scale performances to the intimate setting of a small village theater, demonstrating how culture can drive economic development and become a defining feature of a region.

– January 14:The Colors of Duke Ellington
Cascai Teatre and Girona Jazz Project present a theatrical jazz concert celebrating the works of Duke Ellington. This show combines music and humor, offering a fun and engaging experience with a repertoire including “Take the A Train,” “In a Sentimental Mood,” and “Caravan.”

After 11 years, the BGKO has become a global reference in Balkan music. Their performance will showcase their new album and their unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles.

All concerts will start at 6 PM at the Teatre El Casal in Amer. Ticket prices are very affordable (between €10 and €15 for advance purchase, and €12 to €20 at the box office), and a subscription for all six concerts is available for €70, which includes a reserved seat.
