On September 30th we held a very enriching meeting dedicated to inclusive leisure, with the participation of more than 25 people, including professionals, organizations, and individuals interested in the topic. The success of the event highlights the need and the willingness to share knowledge and experiences in order to move towards fairer and more accessible leisure activities.
During the session, several key aspects were addressed:
Observation of leisure contexts
Different situations and environments were analyzed to identify best practices and guide dynamics that promote real inclusion.
Difficulties and challenges in hiring professionals
A debate space was created where participants shared experiences and common obstacles in recruitment, emphasizing the need to have trained staff with an inclusive mindset.
Creation of a specialized monitoring job pool
One of the most significant outcomes was the agreement to promote and share a common tool that facilitates the hiring of monitors with experience in inclusion, laying the foundations for a useful and long-term resource.
The contributions of all participants underlined the importance of building networks, cooperating among organizations, and placing people at the center of leisure activities.
